Total Indebtedness

Total indebtedness is the sum of a borrower’s debt obligations as defined in its credit agreement, which may include many obligations that might not ordinarily be considered indebtedness like office leases, capital leases and guarantees. It is the numerator in many leverage ratio financial covenants, so the exact definition in the loan documents matters.
