Allowance for Loan Losses

The allowance for loan losses (ALLL) is a reserve financial institutions set aside to cover estimated credit losses in their loan portfolio. Under the CECL accounting standard, the allowance reflects expected lifetime losses. LoanStreet Reporting provides CECL reporting for loans, including loan participations, to help institutions estimate their allowance for loan losses.
