Non-Bank Originator

A non-bank originator is a lender that makes loans but is not a chartered bank or credit union, so it does not take deposits or offer checking or savings accounts. Examples include fintech lenders and specialty finance companies. Non-bank originators often sell loans to credit unions and banks through partnerships and on the LoanStreet Marketplace.
