Weighted average (WAVG) credit score is the average credit score of a loan pool, with each loan weighted by its outstanding principal balance. It typically uses borrowers’ original credit scores and excludes business accounts and loans without a score. It is one of the first metrics buyers review when evaluating a loan participation pool.
